2-19-07- OBVIOUSLY, I haven't updated THIS page in a few
months.
If you happened to arrive here, know
that this site was intended mainly for our friends and family who don't live too close by.
SOMETIME IN DECEMBER 2006--This has been a pretty good week for
us- Beth in particular has had some interesting encounters...
First, we went to see "The Dan Band" at the TLA, again, (see photo
of Beth with Dan on page 2 from the LAST time we saw his show,) and then while walking around the next afternoon, Beth encountered
her favorite carriage horse, Tom, (see picture of him at the stable at the bottom of THIS page.) More on him later.
But it got much better. Not only did we stand directly front
and center, leaning on the stage at the Dan Band show, but Dan picked Beth out of the crowd of people there, (which included
many college-age, attractive blonds, whose arms can be seen frantically waving for attention:P) and focused most of his commentary
on her throughout the show, as well as putting her on the mic while asking her name, where she lives, etc. He was 'intrigued'
by the long black 'opera' gloves she was wearing and requested that she take at least one off for him...or her bra by the
end of his next 2 songs. He made a point of noting that I hadn't done either when he'd finished the songs, too!
[Not one to be challenged with something that I knew would get
a laugh, and not do it, later in the show, I DID manage to get the bra off, and tossed it on his lap while he was
on his knees in front of me at the end of a song, to Dan's surprise.] Dan didn't realize it was mine at first, then
asked me, exclaimed over it, and then MADE ONE OF HIS MALE BACK UP SINGERS WEAR IT FOR THE NEXT SONG!!
Then, after that, he asked me who the man was that I had with me,
and I told him, "my husband." He then started talking to BOB, asking him how he got a 'saucy little minx' or something
like that, like me! lol
Bob said "Just got lucky!" [aw] Then Dan said he was dedicating
the next set of songs to BOB!!! hahaha

This draft horse is at least 19 "hands" tall, only about 3 inches shy of the world's tallest
horse! His driver is a really nice woman, we talked for almost 3 hours and as you can see from where the last 2 pictures
were taken, I went home VERY happy!
I was lucky enough to find them on a slow day, and she had to move him to another spot, anyway,
so invited me to go with her. :D

Now I don't LOOK like I'm in pain, and my forehead muscles aren't in spasm anymore, either. :)
